MC Nguyen Khang: from the swatch book to the basted fitting

As a television host, MC Nguyen Khang works in front of the camera and on stage, where a suit is seen from every angle. On The Khang Show, episode 38 (guests Thanh Duy and Kha Ly), the suits were by Mon Amie.

A double-breasted suit in navy windowpane check, the cloth chosen from the swatch books in the showroom. For someone who works on camera, the shoulders and waist are where the fit matters most. Budget and timing are the client's own business, and we do not publish them.

A Mon Amie stylist went through the swatch books with him and settled the cloth at the consultation table. After measuring over his shirt, the jacket was made up as a basted fitting shell: white tacking stitches and chalk lines still on the body, the lapels not yet finished. At the fitting the tailor worked on the shoulders, lapels and the line of the body directly on him, marking every change in chalk before the jacket was finished.
