How to Look Like a Stylish Groom
Although not as elaborate as the bride, grooms also spend plenty of time choosing a suit that fits, comfortable shoes or an impressive tie.
OutfitAt the wedding, the groom can wear a traditional ao dai, a suit or a tuxedo. The traditional ao dai suits the engagement ceremony, while an elegant suit suits a wedding at a restaurant or hotel. Few Vietnamese grooms choose a tuxedo because it costs more to make than an ordinary suit and is hard to wear regularly. A tuxedo suits formal evening parties in the gala style.

The groom can rent or have a suit made (buy). If you expect to wear a suit often after the wedding, you can have a new one made. A suit made to the groom's measurements fits better and has a nicer shape than a rented one. However, if you will wear it only once at the wedding, you can choose to rent to save costs.
Whichever outfit you choose, it must suit both the groom and the bride's wedding dress. The suit color should be a dark tone such as gray, black, ash gray... The fabric for a suit or tuxedo should be soft, elegant, lustrous and crease-resistant.
Tie

Ties chosen by grooms are usually narrow (6 to 8 cm), reach the waistband, and are paired with a shirt in a different color. Tie colors that grooms like include red, yellow, golden brown, blue,... Bright, checked, multicolored or polka-dot ties are also very popular. The groom can choose a tie color in the same tone as the bride's bouquet or the same tone as the wedding decorations.
Shirt

A close-fitting white shirt is the most suitable with the groom's suit and is also easy to pair with a tie and boutonniere. A white shirt also echoes the bride's pure white wedding dress. Some grooms who like to break the rules can choose shirts in different colors; however, avoid a color that is too striking, which would draw more attention than the bride.
Boutonniere

Normally, the groom's boutonniere is the same type of flower as the bride's bouquet. For example, if the bride's bouquet is made of red roses, the groom should choose one red rose, with a little baby's breath added, as his boutonniere.
The boutonniere should be flowers such as roses, orchids, baby's breath... When ordering wedding flowers, shops will make the bride's bouquet and the groom's boutonniere together as a set. You only need to say which flower you would like to use. A boutonniere should be paired when the groom wears a suit or tuxedo; with a traditional ao dai, simply adding a turban is enough to create an elegant look.
Shoes

Wedding shoes have slightly different characteristics from other ordinary shoes. When worn with a suit or tuxedo, the groom usually chooses soft leather shoes. The highlights of wedding shoes are neatly tied bows, piping along the length of the shoe, or stylish loafers.
To choose the right shoes, the groom should pay attention not only to material and comfort but also to color and style, so that they match the outfit worn on the wedding day. Shoe colors are mainly black, white, brown...
