Men's office wear is not as elaborate as women's, but men too care quite a lot about how to dress to suit their work. An indispensable part of that is the refined suit, and today Mon Amie will advise on some ways of wearing a suit well for men.

Men are usually not as fussy as women. Among women, most are particular about choosing the right clothes: office clothes, clothes for home, outings, travel or party dresses...

Men are almost the opposite: they give their attention to many other things, so they pay less attention to clothes and outfits and are more relaxed about them. Ladies, especially capable wives, should pay attention to this so as to take better care of their husbands.

Suits are usually divided into 3 types, and ladies can refer to our suggestions below to make their loved ones look even better.

Wedding suit:

Based on the ways Vietnamese men dress, there are 3 popular types of suit to choose from.
- Party and festive suit
or the grooms' wedding suit, where both families usually favour deep colours such as black and midnight blue to bring out a luxurious air; light colours such as white and cream to express the formality of the ceremony, or red, blue and yellow to highlight a necessary difference. For this type of suit, choose good fabric, a fabric with body, and have it made with a firm canvas and lining.

- Suit for work and everyday dealings: for businessmen or employees of foreign companies: choose light colours that don't stand out but still express formality, such as moss green, light grey, light brown…

For this type of suit, choose a fabric with a little polyester blended in, or a natural-fibre fabric that creases little and can be washed and ironed, for convenience in use and care.

Avoid as far as possible expensive fabrics that need dry cleaning, or natural silk that creases easily. Choose thin, light lining and interlining so that you can wear it comfortably all day.

- Suit worn as a light jacket: in summer or for travel, you can choose stripes, checks, floral fabric… in thin, light, breathable material, even slightly crinkled and rustic, such as cotton or linen.

This type of suit can be made single-layer (unlined) so that it is easy to wear and easy to wash and iron.
